7 September Saw The Weir last night at the 3Olympia - Conor McPherson’s play is phenomenal; he captures the nuance of the rural country pub, the conversations that speak of everything and nothing, how the stories the characters tell speak to their deepest fears and connections.
I love to write dialogue and the dialogue in this play lands as completely familiar, utterly authentic.
The play starred Brendan Gleeson, Owen McDonnell, Seán McGinley, Kate Phillips and Tom Vaughan-Lawlor.
We attended was the last Dublin performance before the production now moved to London.
