Friday 21 October It was a joy to read at 'Circling the Square', a festival established to honour Thurles poet and cultural critic, the late Dennis O'Driscoll. I read alongside the incredible poets Stephen James Smith, Nithy Kasa, Emily Cullen, Molly Twomey and Fióna Bolger. The talented singers and musicians for the evening were: Colcannon duo Conor King and Alexa Vardalas; Tim V. Smyth, singer/songwriter, ; soloist Linda Ryan, accompanied by Daniel Byrne on keyboard; the Ed Dwan String Trio with Ed Dwan, Owen Ronayne, Livia Hyland and Anne-Marie Dwan; Paul Byrne Jnr. singer/songwriter; Eoin Ryan Anthony, singer/songwriter.
